Modern Windows versions (8, 8.1, 10, and 11) come with a host of built-in features: OneDrive, Cortana, Edge, Xbox services, Mixed Reality Portal, Skype, and many "Metro" or UWP apps. While some can be removed via PowerShell ( Remove-AppxPackage ), many are marked as non-removable. Even with admin rights, Windows protects these as "critical" components.
