Open the extracted USB Extreme PC software ( usbextreme.exe ) as an Administrator. Select the tab within the utility.

Because the PS2 cannot read standard ISO files directly through USB Extreme, the PC software must split the games into smaller chunks ( .001 , .002 , etc.) and generate a ul.cfg games list file. Launch the USB Extreme installation utility on your PC.

This is the most critical part. You cannot simply drag an ISO file into the DVD folder. The PS2 USB driver is finicky.

The game will then begin loading from the USB hard drive. Note that initial loading times may be noticeably slower than the original disc – this is a limitation we will discuss in the next section.

Select your game source (CD/DVD drive or ISO file) and the destination USB drive.

Insert a PS2 game disc into your PC’s DVD drive or mount an ISO image.
