As the story opens, we meet Asif (Akshay Kumar), a man who lives his life by the rules of logic. He is a rationalist, the kind of man who makes a living debunking ghosts and exorcisms. He doesn’t believe in spirits; he believes in science and common sense. His world revolves around his wife, Rashmi (Kiara Advani), and despite the disapproval of her family due to their interfaith marriage, they share a happy, modern life.
