Finbar "Fin" McBride (Peter Dinklage) is a man who seeks refuge in silence. Having lived his whole life as a target of awkward stares due to his dwarfism, Fin's only peace is found in the back of a model train shop, fixing tiny locomotives with his only friend, Henry. When Henry suddenly passes away, Fin inherits a deserted train depot in rural Newfoundland, New Jersey. He moves there, expecting to live out his days in complete solitude.
