ArtCAM was originally developed by the British company Delcam in 1994 and quickly became the industry standard for complex 3D relief modeling and jewelry design. In 2017, Autodesk, a global leader in 3D design software, released , which marked the final major version of this beloved software. Shortly after its release, Autodesk announced the discontinuation of the ArtCAM product line, with the last support ending in November 2018. This means ArtCAM 2018 is now considered “abandonware” in many circles, available only through third-party sources and not officially for sale.
