So here I am: My first blog post and my first tutorial. Iām not super confident at filming myself and trying to look natural. Thatās why I work behind the scenes. But I wanted to teach my skills to people who might be interested. The video below took a few takes, and Iām pretty pleased with how it turned out, although I could still take some practice. I decided to do my first tutorial on the Saber Plugin because I love that Plugin. As you will see from the video, I have used it many times in my professional work.
Hereās a quick quide on how to install it, which I didnāt go through in the video.
Download either the Mac or PC version from https://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2016/03/new-plug-in-saber-now-available-100-free/.
Find the downloaded .dmg file, usually in your Downloads folder.
Double-click the .dmg file to open the installation package.
The installer will prompt you to drag the Saber plugin file into the appropriate directory. Navigate to your Adobe After Effects plugins folder, typically: Applications > Adobe After Effects [Version] > Plug-ins
Drag the Saber plugin file into this folder.
Locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click the installer to begin.
The installer should automatically detect your Adobe After Effects folder. If it doesnāt, manually point it to the correct directory, typically: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects [Version]\Support Files\Plug-ins
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish installing the plugin.
