Craig David, performing as a MC with the Southampton-based Artful Dodger, provided the vocals for the 1999 hit "Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta)." The track reached number two on the UK Singles Chart, shifting UK garage from a subcultural phenomenon into a commercial force and setting the stage for David's solo debut.
